Universal Design for Learning – Getting Started from Step Zero

Whether you are teaching fully online, face-to-face, or hybrid, getting students acclimated to how the course is going to run can be quite the challenge. No two faculty are likely to run their course the same way and this extends to the Canvas shells that we use to run or enhance our courses.

Creating an orientation module or module zero within Canvas can be a great way to acclimate our learners to our courses to help them feel comfortable navigating the course during the semester.
