Share files, a presentation or just discuss a project from where you sit. Sharing your expertise is easy using Cisco Webex Meeting Center.* Webex is approved for both FERPA and HIPAA information and is available for both Windows and Mac.

Personal Room. A private space in Webex always available for meetings day or night. Your individual URL is https://ecu.webex.com/meet/your-PirateID and never changes, so you can schedule impromptu or recurring meetings using this URL. Access meeting recordings, set your preferences and get user help here as well. Personal Room Login: http://ecu.webex.com
Webex Meetings Desktop App. This desktop app allows you to use Webex without logging in to your online personal space. Start, join and schedule meetings through Outlook (Mac and Windows) or from your computer’s task bar. Users can Meet Now and share a file within Word, Excel and PowerPoint (Windows only). Part of the ECU image for university-owned Windows systems. Can be downloaded from ecu.webex.com for personal systems.
Collaborate. A tool integrated directly into Blackboard enabling faculty and students to access an online web conference meeting from within their course. Collaborate allows faculty to set up their own meetings within Blackboard. Find more information on the Collaborate web page.
Join a Meeting
Piratemail or Outlook. From the calendar appointment or the invitation email, click JOIN WEBEX MEETING (must have internet connection) or call the JOIN BY PHONE number provided (audio only).
Telephone. Call the JOIN BY PHONE number and enter the ACCESS CODE listed in the meeting invite. Or click the Join Webex meeting link and choose your call in option:
Webex Personal Room. Navigate to ecu.webex.com.
- Option 1. Enter the meeting number or the host’s Personal Room ID.
- Option 2. Click the Sign in button and click Start Meeting to enter your personal room or click Start beside the meeting listed in the Upcoming Meetings list to join a previously-scheduled meeting. Use your PirateID to enter your personal room. Click Start beside the meeting listed in the Upcoming Meetings list.
Schedule a Meeting
Outlook. The Webex Meetings Desktop App is installed on all ECU-owned computers. Click the Schedule Meeting drop-down menu in the Webex section of the tools ribbon. Choose whichever option is appropriate and follow the prompts to complete the meeting invite which includes adding the email addresses of your invitees.
Webex Meeting Center. Log in to ecu.webex.com. Click the Schedule a Meeting link and complete the form. The meeting password is optional. Add the email addresses of invitees.
