Eduroam Wireless Network
First, make sure you have successfully completed the onboarding process before attempting to connect to eduroam. You must allow the JoinNow wizard to install the certificate to your device before connecting to eduroam. Onboarding is easy, and you will receive an email after completing the process. After you receive the email, you will be able to join the eduroam network.
Eduroam (education roaming) is a secure, world-wide roaming access service developed for the international research and education community. Eduroam allows students, researchers and staff from participating institutions to obtain internet connectivity across home campuses and when visiting other participating institutions by simply opening their laptop or having the network ID on their mobile device.

Faculty/staff access through the eduroam wireless SSID provides access to both the internet and internal ECU resources.
Student access through the eduroam wireless SSID provides access to the internet, Piratedrive and forward-facing resources like the ECU website, Blackboard, Pirate Port, Piratemail, Pirate Print, etc. For access to additional internal resources, students should utilize the student VPN (piratesvpn.ecu.edu).
